This is the highest safety award given. Top Safety Pick award winners are chosen based upon their performance in the offset front, side, rear crash tests and be subjected to a new roof crush test. In addition, the vehicle must be equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard equipment. The C30 Volvo achieved a "Good" rating in each of these four tests, the highest rating given by IIHS.
